Neukirchen-Vluyn|

Having previously sent boxes of Somerset cider to Neukirchen-Vluyn, via Mouvaux, Lorna, Jo and Udo set off with cheese, pork pies, apple pies and other traditional British fare, including marmalade and flapjacks. Trade was brisk, such that a couple of the members from Neukirchen-Vluyn Twinning had to help us out. This was a generous gesture that also allowed each of us to go around the market and view the other stalls. It was hard work, but the British produce was well received, although we had to send out for bottles, as many customers preferred to take a bottle of the cider home, rather than drink it there. Udo drew the customers in by playing his guitar, some just came to listen! On Sunday, Udo was also asked to give a guitar recital in the church, where he was given a warm reception, and his music was much appreciated. A small profit was made, but we took a little bit of Buckingham to our German twin town, and it was much appreciated.
